For Players With Physical and Intellectual Disabilities
Boys and Girls 5-30 years old
This unique program was created and designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to children between the ages 5-30 with intellectual and physical disabilities. Younger players may also be accepted, on an individual basis.
They must be physically capable of participating without any serious medical condition that would put them at risk.
Volunteers operate the program. We do not expect parents to act as coaches. The Club finds volunteer coaches who work with the players. The training sessions normally consist of warm up exercises, ball control/skill drills and a scrimmage at the end of the session.
Our focus is on creating a fun environment without any undue pressure or expectations where players can develop at their own pace. The program is intended to be fun while exposing the players to some skill development, team play and making friends in a family friendly environment.
A parent or guardian must remain at the field during each session. This will make the players feel more comfortable and as well provide the coaching staff immediate support should an issue arise.
