Casa de Futbol (U3-U6)
CASA De Futbol (translated as “Soccer Starts in the Home”) was created by the North Mississauga SC to introduce more young players to take up the game and encourage parents to engage positively at home with their child.
Consisting of a series of support soccer programs, CASA de Futbol offers a variety of participating opportunities to all families interested in having their child gain entry into the game of soccer.
The focus of all the programs is to create an environment that “Ignites a passion for the game” and provides young players with an opportunity to “Fall in love with the Ball”.
The program aligns with Ontario Soccer’s Long Term Player Development (LTPD) Model and specifically Active Start, its initial phase of development.
The following three (3) programs are open to all families:
Program #1: Casa De Futbol – “Parent Tot” Program
This is a 6-week, on-field, training program that allows young players to have “Fun with the Ball” with guidance from a North Mississauga Technical Coach and support from their parent.
The program is specifically designed to introduce young players to the game through creative and fun exercises. This allows all players to start building a strong foundation of ball mastery and physical literacy skills.
NOTE: This program requires parents to be on field with their child as they perform exercises and ensure Return to Play protocols (ie: social distancing) are maintained.
* Parents will need to provide players with shin pads and soccer cleats (shoes) for safety.
July 27th - Sept 14th (no sessions on Aug 3rd or Sept 7th)
August 8th - Sept 19th (no sessions on Aug 1st or Sept 5th)
U3/4 (2017 & 2016)

Saturdays: 10:00 am - 10:45 am*
* Dates and times are subject to change based on field availability/registration numbers.
Program #2: Casa De Futbol – “First Kicks” Program
This is a 6-week virtual training program that allows young players (with the aid of their parents) to train “live” for 30 mins (2 times per week) via video link up with a North Mississauga Technical Coach in the comfort of their own home.
Each week of the program, parents access a video link (through their phone or computer) that provides direct entry into the North Mississauga “Virtual Training Ground” and follow along with the Age Group Technical Coach as they take players through a series of progressive ball mastery exercises and skill challenges.
NOTE: Families will notified to attend a short 20 min “Zoom” video orientation seminar prior to the start of the program to learn about connectivity and program set-up.

U3/4 (2017 & 2016)

Saturdays: 9:45 am - 10:15 am*
* Dates and times are subject to change based on registration numbers.
Program #3: Casa De Futbol – “Home” Program
This is a FREE, self-directed 6-week home-based program that allows young players (with the aid of their parents) to access a series of customized online skills videos, on a weekly basis, in the comfort of their own home!
Each week of the program, parents are provided video access to a specific “Skill of the Week” created by our Technical Team. They watch the video with their child and engage with them each day during that week for 20 mins to perform the skill in their own home.
Players are provided with a scorecard and a free ball.
Parents are asked to initial the scorecard after every daily 20 min practice to record participation over the 6-week period. At the completion of 6 weeks, parents take a picture of the scorecard and submit it online to receive a certificate for their child.
Players born in the following years (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017) are permitted to participate in this program.

I just wanted to send a quick note to say how happy my wife and I are with the U5 program so far. Only a few weeks in and my son comes home every Saturday so excited to get to the next session. He is still pretty shy and I would say still one of the more timid kids out there, but his Coaches have been absolutely incredible with him making him feel welcome and comfortable.
The hard work that is being put in to the programming is so evident and I just wanted to express how thankful we are to have access to this incredible program. Keep up the good work!
