NMSC is proud to announce that our two All-Star teams have dug deep and earned a title a piece so far this season.
The BU16 team have participated in 2 tournaments this outdoor season and have made back-to-back finals.
Our Panthers were crowned the Water’s Edge Tournament Champions in Sarnia on July 14th. The team was victorious over the U17 Brantford Galaxy in an exciting shootout. It was the team’s first overnight tournament and championship win at a rep level tournament.
The boys carried that momentum to Georgetown on July 21st as they earned a spot in the Eustace Collins Memorial Tournament finals. The team battled it out, but fell to Windsor’s BU16/17 team and proudly placed second overall.
Next, the squad travels to Niagara Falls on August 10th to participate in the A.C. Douglas Tournament where they are looking to continue their successful campaign. The Panthers will conclude their 2019 season at home in the North Mississauga Tournament on Sept 7th & 8th.
Our NMSC GU18 All-Star team started their season off on fire as they claimed the Lake Simcoe Tournament title on July 21st by defeating Aurora FC in convincing fashion, 5-1.
With only one tournament played this season and one championship already under belts, the girls are hungry for more. They will have 3 more chances for glory in 2019.
On August 10th, the GU18 team will compete in Niagara Falls with hopes to keep their hot streak going at the A.C. Douglas Tournament. Next, the girls intend to keep the North Mississauga Tournament trophy for themselves in front of a home crowd on September 7th & 8th. Lastly, they will wrap up their season at the Albert Campbell in Scarborough on the weekend of September 21st.
