North Mississauga Soccer Club is proud to announce that a former NMSC Panther Liam Millar has signed a professional contract with The British Premier League club Liverpool Football Club today (Sept 27th) on his 17th birthday that will keep him at Anfield until at least 2019.
Liam spent his formative years as part of NMSC from the age of 6 until he went to the UK at 13 and credits being part of the Panther Development Program and the Centre of Excellence for part of the great foundation he built.
Liam was part of the ’99 NMSC Panthers and played for the Ontario provincial team and recently represented Canada at the U20 level in Costa Rica.
Liam left NMSC for the UK at 13. Liam then spent 3 1/2 years at Fulham FC before being signed by LFC this summer.
Liam wishes to make special mention of his former coaches Rob Sterling, Charles Ivanov and Jhon Ardila.
