The North Mississauga Soccer was chosen as one of ten sites in Ontario to pilot Physical and Health Education Canada’s ‘We Belong’ Program that aims at increasing community development and the physical activity of newcomer youth.
The NMSC ‘We Belong’ program is a ten-week after school program that is being run out of the Hershey Dome. The program was offered to students attending Thomas Street MS and Middlebury PS and started in later January. Over 20 players between the ages of 6-12 are taking part in the program.
The NMSC is now looking for ways of making its ‘We Belong’ After School Program a permanent program at the Club.
