We are pleased to announce that Emelio “Chieffy” Caligdong has accepted the position of OPDL Head Coach for the BU14 team, effective June 3rd, 2019.
Emelio’s playing career cannot be matched, and includes both professional and international experience. “Chieffy’s” professional career spanned more than 10 years and included playing for Philippine giants Union Manilla and Green Archers United. He has represented his country at both the U23 level and has 69 full international appearances netting 16 goals.
His coaching career is highlighted, with graduating from the most prestigious coaching license program with a UEFA B from the German Football Association. Moving back to the Philippines he took on roles as Head Coach of the U14 & U16 Philippines National Team as well as Assistant Coach to the Men’s National Team.
“Chieffy” is dedicated to establishing the right environment to foster development and is an inspiring role model for our players. North Mississauga Soccer Club welcomes his wealth of experience!
