OPDL TRYOUT SCHEDULE (for 2023 season)

Tryouts will be held between October 15th – 17th, 2022. Schedule and Coaches will be announced soon.

  •  OPDL Group Ages: U13 (2010), U14 (2009), U15 (2008), U17 (2007/2006)
  • Dates: October 15th, 16th and 17th
  • Location: Churchill Meadows Community Centre Turf Fields (Mattamy Sports Park)
  • Address: 5320 Ninth Line


OPDL Licence Holders are required to host and conduct trials following the three phases as outlined below: 

Phase I – Players outside the Talented Player Pathway only
  • Objective: Identify players outside OPDL environments
  • Activity: Open Trials and Invitation Only Trials
  • Period: September 13th to November 8th , 2021 
Phase II – Players within the Talented Player Pathway
  • Objective: Select Full-Time Players
  • Activity: Open Trials and Invitation Only Trials
  • Period: November 8th to February 6th, 2022 
Phase III – Any Player
  • Objective: Identify players inside & outside OPDL environments for remaining spots
  • Activity: Open Trials and Invitation Only Trials
  • Period: February 6th to April 9th, 2022


Open Trials:
  • An open trial is open to players who desire an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to participate within an OPDL Licence Holder and is of the appropriate age for registration and gender for the team’s designation.
  • OPDL Players are eligible to participate in Open Trials during Phase II and III
  • In order to provide a more responsible evaluation process, no more than 35 players are allowed at each open trial.
  • A player must have the opportunity to attend a minimum of three Open Trials before a final decision is made on that player.
  • Licence Holders are permitted to, although not recommended, charge a reasonable fee for a player to participate in an open trial. Fee should be designated to cover operational costs to run trials
  • Players may attend more than one open trial simultaneously with different OPDL Licence Holders.
Invitation Only Trials:
  • After conducting open trials, invitation only trials can occur at any time in accordance with the stipulated timelines.
  • An invitation only trial involves the interested OPDL Licence Holder contacting and asking for only specific players to return for further trials.
  • No player shall undertake more than one invitation-only trial at a time.
  • A player may attend a new invitation only trial once an existing invitation-only trial has been completed.
  • A player may attend a different invitation-only trial once the organizers of the existing trial have been informed in writing that the player wishes to terminate that trial.


Our Club

The North Mississauga Soccer Club is dedicated to the development of well-balanced, successful players at both the recreation and competitive level. The club is committed to the development of its coaches, referees and players to their potential through the instruction of the tactical, technical, physical and psychological aspects of soccer. 

Recreational Programs

North Mississauga SC offers a range of recreational soccer programs that allow athletes to stay active and develop social skills. All recreational programs are offered only once a week to allow players to combine soccer with other activities.

Grassroots Programs

North Mississauga SC offers Grassroots Development programs for U8-U12 athletes. The development environment promotes 4-times a week commitment (3 practices and 1 game) and is based on the 4-corner approach that facilitates athletes’ development of technical, physical, socio-emotional and psychological skills! Junior Panthers (U6-U7) development program provides an opportunity to the younger athletes to learn soccer skills in a fun environment!

Competitive Programs

North Mississauga SC offers Competitive Programs to U13-U17 athletes. The program requires a 4-times a week commitment (3 practices and 1 game). The teams compete in Mississauga Youth Soccer League during the indoor season and in Peel Halton District Soccer League or Golden Horse Shoe Soccer League (regional) during the outdoor season. 

High Performance

North Mississauga SC is a proud member of the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) and League 1 Ontario, the province’s Pro-Am, standards-based, senior soccer league.

North Mississauga SC offers year-round events in addition to its core soccer programs. The information on tryouts (U13+) and open sessions (U8-U12) will be posted in this section. March Break Camp, Holiday Camp and Summer Camps’ information will be updated on the website prior to registration getting available.
