Program For Players With Physical and Intellectual Disabilities
Available for Boys and Girls, Ages 5-30 years old
Our Panther Stars program provides an opportunity to include players ages 5-30 with intellectual and physical disabilities in our community to enjoy the game of soccer as we want to celebrate everyone’s participation with the North Mississauga Soccer Club.
They must be physically capable of participating without any serious medical condition that would put them at risk.
Volunteers operate the program. We do not expect parents to act as coaches. The Club finds volunteer coaches who work with the players making sure they can properly conduct the training sessions. The training sessions normally consist of warm up exercises and ball control/skill fun activities.
Our focus for the Panther Stars program is to develop the players at their own pace in a healthy environment. We also want to promote fun and expose players to some skill development, team play, making friends and being active through soccer for life.
A parent or guardian must remain at the field during each session. This will make the players feel more comfortable and as well provide the coaching staff immediate support should an issue arise.
The North Mississauga Soccer Club offers the Panther Stars Program during both the indoor and outdoor season!
